Starting situation

  • During the pandemic, the managing director of a Viennese management consultancy offered me the opportunity to see if I could use my artistic perspective to develop his company further.
  • Since my father is a manager in the economy and I had already successfully realized an artistic intervention with said consultancy in 2018, I agreed.
  • A success story followed.

Highlights:

  • Sales: I’ve noticed that consultants rely on their instincts and experience when it has to do with pitches. Even though multimillion sums are involved. That seemed absurd to me. In my opinion, pitches are all about the question: does my client trust me or not? In order to build this trust, it is essential that we establish a human connection with the customer and communicate the service in a way that creates clear images in the mind of the other person. The better the customer can imagine something, the more likely they are to do it. For all these things, there is craft in art. Craft in staging, in dramaturgy and in performance strategy. By implementing this knowledge, we were able to significantly increase the pitch success rate. This was followed by one of the strongest sales years in the company’s history.
  • Operations: Projects have their dynamics. Conflicts are unavoidable. I have noticed that engineers often struggle with human dynamics and needs. Thanks to the hypersensitivity I developed early on as a result of stuttering, which I professionalized during my directing studies, I could be an effective support here. Since then, I have been deployed to secure endangered projects. As a result, I have analyzed the situation, developed a suitable strategy with the project manager and accompanied its implementation. This has enabled me to secure numerous projects and the associated turnover.
  • Marketing: I have always been able to provide outstanding impulses here. The best example of this is our recruiting spot. The management consultancy was faced with the problem of not sending any suitable applicants. I designed a recruiting spot and wrote it down. It was implemented with a service provider. This spot caused quite a stir in the industry. It was discussed several times on Consulting.de. As of today, today is 09.01.2025, it has been viewed 48,627 times. All positions have been successfully filled.
  • Internal/external C-level communication: Transformations always harbor uncertainties. I have noticed that many things are well covered by change management measures. But one thing is being ignored: The CEO speech. This is why it is crucial in the eyes of the workforce. I have proven myself to be a sparring partner for both my own management and the management of our customers. Since then, it has been important to develop the right words in every situation. Among other things, I have supported transformation projects as well as the sale of the company to the Efeso Group.
